About Us

The HSM/HSDM PostDoctoral Association (PDA) was born out of the need for support for PostDocs in attaining their career goals.

The goals of our organization are to:

1. Provide representation and act as a liaison between all affiliated post-doctoral fellows and HMS/HSDM
2. Promote academic and career goals of post-doctoral fellows
3. Disseminate information of interest or relevance to the HMS/HSDM postdoctoral scholars community.

PostDoctoral fellows are important contributors to the work that is conducted at Harvard Medical School, which ranks first in research among the top fifty medical schools in the country (U.S.News and World Report 2005 Americas Best Graduate Schools). We have one of the largest number of PostDoctoral fellows of any U.S. school or institution, around 700, with over 3000 Harvard Medical or Harvard Medical affiliated PostDocs total.
